Ganguly equals world record



JOHANNESBURG: When Saurav Ganguly scored a majestic 127 in the opening encounter of Standard Bank Triangular Tournament against South Africa, he equalled a world record which no body seems to have taken notice of. It was Ganguly’s sixth hundred while leading India and he now heads the table of players with most hundreds in a career as captain of their respective sides. Interestingly fellow teammate Sachin Tendulkar has also six hundreds on his name as India’s captain. However Ganguly needed only 46 innings as against Tendulkar’s 70 innings to equal his record.
